Naturopathy

The Naturopathic Philosophy promotes health through education and non-invasive natural agents.

1. Do no harm. Primum non nocere is taken from the Hippocratic Oath.

2. Recognize the healing power of nature. The human body is created with the capacity to heal itself and to maintain  homeostasis.

3. Identify the cause. For naturopaths, the correction of the cause is the most plausible way of eliminating the symptoms and restoring health to the person.

4. Involve the whole person. Naturopathic practitioners are aware that a person can have a physical, spiritual, or emotional illness. Chosen therapy is determined by what kind of problem is being experienced.

5. Teach rather than treat. Man is the steward of his body and the doctor is the teacher or advisor to the individual on how to maintain health.

6. Identify the source. Other than in trauma-type injuries, the body experience "dis-ease" as a consequence of a number of health-debilitating events. In order to reverse the disease process, the body needs to have its tissues revitalized.

7. Prevent disease. Naturopaths advise clients on simple disease prevention principles designed to produce health and avoid the destructive consequences which occur as the result of violating those principles.

This is the standard doctrine of all Naturopathic practitioners. We are conventionally trained in anatomy, physiology, nutrition, herbology, acupressure, iridology, hydrotherapy, thermal therapy, energy medicine, and counseling. Some are also trained in additional specialties. Some of my training is listed on the "About Joan" page.

What is EAV Testing?

EAV Testing an an "Energetic" Testing Procedure. So what is Energetic and what kind of "Energy" is this? We have many different organs and glands in the body, as well as the highly organized and complex Nervous System and Circulatory System.

Initially we consider that all these organs, glands, and systems are physical and chemical in nature. We can touch, see, and measure these aspects. We know that science has proven these attributes and we take science's accounts of such nature to be true. But there is also an unseen component of all these organs, glands, and systems called the Energetic System. This Energetic System is not physical or chemical in its nature. Instead, it is pure energy.

There are twenty-one (21) basic EAV Meridians which correspond to the major organs and glands of the body (Chinese doctors typically use 12 Meridians). Along each of these Meridians, there are found to be many Acupuncture "Points" which correspond to either a specific gland or to the various functional regions found within an organ.

All totaled, there are hundreds of different points located along the basic twenty-one Meridians. This Energetic System is an intricate map that is consistently identical in every man and woman. Everyone has the same Meridians and same Acupuncture Points. The Chinese have known about this map for over 3,000 years and have had success in using this knowledge through using Acupuncture techniques to improve health. Their empirical success alone offers substantiated proof of the Energetic System.

Using EAV Testing

Using an EAV to measure electricity is the first step. The next question is—How do we go from electrical conductance measurement to a useful assessment of the Energetic System?

We know some useful points and from these we can make some viable conclusions:

1. Electricity will flow through a Meridian.

2. The nature of how electricity flows through a specific Meridian is directly related to how Energy flows through the specific Meridian.

3. The flow of Energy is related to the Energetic health of a Meridian. Therefore, we know that the flow of electricity is also related (just as the Energy is) to the health of the Meridian.

EAV testing helps to narrow the possibilities and assess the most important health issues to address first. It also provides the client with extensive information about the body and its abilities to heal itself. EAV testing is one of many modalities available to help you achieve your health goals.

Wishing you wellness always,
